AHG bids a teary-eyes adieu to CEO of 20years and a man of vision for 40!

by admin / 09 December 2018 / Published in News

AHG was here at the Al Habtoor Palace on December 09, 2018 to honour a man, a legend of his kind, our beloved CEO – Mr M Salahuddin.

He was born in a beautiful village of North Kerala by the name TRIKARIPUR of Kasaragod district. It’s a small village filled with rivers and serene natural beauty. He hails from a middle-class agricultural background. His family back then compromised of 6 sisters and 3 brothers and he was the 10th one, a number he proudly flaunts. He did his entire schooling from Government High School, Trikaripur. He continued his studies in Pre-university at Farook College, Calicut, for the duration of the 1-year post which he was selected for both Medical and Engineering.

However, he chose to engineer because the fees for studying medicine in Bangalore were high. He successfully graduated from Government engineering college, Trichur, in 1970 and immediately joined as ‘Trainee Engineer’ in Western Indian Plywood Company, Kannur, which was the biggest plywood factory in Asia at the time.  He worked here until he decided to fly overseas in 1976.

Life took a beautiful turn on the auspicious day of January 13, 1974, as he married Ms Sara. She hails from a well-known family in Tellicherry of Kannur district.

A lot of people wonder why he deliberately chose the number 13. He considers it auspicious and advises to conquer our fears. He made up his mind fly overseas and landed at UAE in 1976, the rest they say is history.

He was showered with respect, love and admirations by his colleagues, advisors, friends & family that flew in from different parts of the work to honour him.
